How to commission a custom song
Commissioning a custom song takes five steps: choose a package, pay to unlock your brief, describe the person and the occasion, receive the finished song in 2–5 business days, and use your included revisions. A copy-paste brief template is below.
Step 1 — Choose your package
The three packages differ in length, revisions and speed. Starter is $79 for up to 3 minutes, 1 revision, delivered in 5 business days. Standard is $149 for up to 4 minutes, custom lyrics welcome, 2 revisions, delivered in 3 business days. Premium is $249 for up to 5 minutes, full lyric collaboration, 3 revisions, MP3 plus WAV stems, a Certificate of Originality, and priority 2-business-day delivery.
Step 2 — Pay and unlock your brief
Payment happens on the commission page, and it is the only place to order. As soon as it completes, your private song brief opens and your order code is emailed to you so you can return to it later.
Step 3 — Write the brief
This is the part that decides how good the song is. Aim for concrete detail over adjectives. “She is kind” produces nothing; “she still texts me the weather forecast every morning” produces a chorus.

Occasion: Who the song is for (name + how you actually say it): Who the song is from: Deadline / date it will be played: How we know each other, in one line: Three specific memories: 1. 2. 3. Things they always say: Their habits, good and bad: Names to include: Anything strictly off-limits: Tone (sincere / funny / both / cinematic): Genre or reference artist: Anything you want said outright in the chorus:
If you have lyrics of your own, Standard and Premium welcome them — full lyrics, a chorus, or a few lines you want kept intact.
Step 4 — Receive your song
The track is composed and produced from your brief. It arrives by email as a high-quality MP3, with WAV stems on Premium, within your package's delivery window.
Step 5 — Use your revisions well
Specific feedback gets better results than general feedback. “Verse two, line three, use her real nickname” or “slower, and lighter on the drums” are actionable. Starter includes 1 revision, Standard 2, and Premium 3.
Common mistakes
- Writing a compliment list instead of describing incidents.
- Leaving out the deadline.
- Not saying what is off-limits.
- Choosing a genre that suits you rather than the recipient.
- Ordering the day before the event — choose Premium if time is short.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to write a brief?
Most people finish in ten to fifteen minutes. You do not need polished writing — notes and fragments are ideal.
What if I forget something important?
Your package revisions exist for that. Starter includes 1 revision, Standard 2, and Premium 3.
Do I have to choose a genre?
No. If you are unsure, describe the mood or name an artist whose feel you like and we will recommend a fit.
Can I send photos, voice notes or old messages?
Send whatever helps in the brief — quotes, screenshots of jokes, dates. The more concrete the material, the better the lyrics.
When do I pay?
You choose a package and pay first; checkout unlocks your private brief immediately afterwards.
